On the Other Hand, It's Much More
Affordable than a Degas
I've checked the stats, and my traffic is dropping off to nothing while
I continue to dwell on this pastel portrait. But I can't help it; it's going too well,
and I don't want to stop. It's got a ways to go yet, and once again I can't show
you the entire deal, but
here's a good idea of how the face is going to turn out.
What's really weird is that with this choice of subject matter, I seem to have
unwittingly anticipated current events.
I still need to pick out her eyes (eeuw -- poor choice of words there,
but I think you know what I meant), and the ears need refining, but this is
pretty much the finished version, shown at close to actual size.
I promise next week you'll get a new picture in addition to your Suzanne update.
I dunno -- think I should change the title from Suzanne to
If Alfred E. Neumann Had a Beautiful Sister?
